The Epic Saga continues...

My Next Book in the Series

I live in the sleepy little town of East Greenville, PA with my wife, Diane. As you know, the first book in the Gordon's Way Series was released last year. The success was far more than I had expected. I found that those who read it said that they loved it. This inspired me to get right to work on my second novel in the series. Many of the places in the first book of the series, entitled "Gordon's Way: Entertaining Strangers", are modeled after actual places that are or were once existing.

When I started the second book in the series, entitled "Gordon's Way: A Day Like 1000 Years", I sat down, trying to determine where Gordon Boswood's life would take him next. At first, I was going to invent a fictitious town from scratch. But then my wife suggested, "Wouldn't it be exciting if Gordon came here, to this area?"  The more I thought about it, the more I loved it. I love this town and this area. The Upper Perkiomen Valley has been my home for many years, so much in fact, that when Diane and I set out to buy our new home, we bought one right here in town.

Furthermore, I was even more inspired after talking with our good friends Bob and Linda Duck, the current owners of the famous "Sleepy Hollow Ranch". They were as thrilled as I was that, although fictitious, the ranch was going to make a major appearance in the second book of this series.

Bob and Linda Duck have been such wonderful friends to Diane and me. Each week, they open their home to our small church group, where we eat, study, laugh, and enjoy life as Christ would have wanted us to do. Along with spending time with Diane and attending Sunday services, it's one of the true high points of my week.

The people in this area are great, the area itself, is great.  I think that we are going to call this place home for a long, long time. What better way to give back to this community, than to write about a town that is very similar to this one in the next book of the "Gordon's Way" Series!

In the second book of the series, titled "Gordon's Way: A Day Like 1000 Years", a character that you may have overlooked in the first book, returns. This time, this character is far more sinister than the first time you met him/her. Some of your favorite landmarks may be mentioned and possibly frequented by Gordon and his new friends.

Check it out!

Sincerely,

Stephen J Granger
